India Gate, DelhiDay 1 : Delhi : The Claridges Hotel
Upon arrival in Delhi you will be taken to The Claridges Hotel, one of the original special hotels in Delhi. You will receive your vouchers and tickets and go through your itinerary with your guide.
 
The Claridges, DelhiDay 2 : Delhi : The Claridges Hotel
In the morning you will have a private escorted tour through Old Delhi, the Red Fort, Friday Mosque and the Raj Ghat. After lunch in the Chor Bizarre Restaurant in the former ‘Thieves’ market’ you will visit New Delhi with its wide leafy avenues, Lutyens’ designed Government buildings, India Gate, Qutab Minar and Humayun’s tomb.
 
Day 3 : Jaipur : Shahpura House
Drive to Neemrama Fort for lunch and then on to Jaipur where you will stay in Shahpura House, a beautiful former royal residence.
 
Shahpura House, JaipurDay 4 : Jaipur : Shahpura House
A day in Jaipur. You will drive to Amber Fort and ride on an elephant up the ramparts to the palace and take a guided tour. This will be followed by a visit to ‘the Pink City’ with its astronomical observatory, the City Palace and Hawa Mahal, ‘The Palace of Winds’. After lunch in Rambagh Palace, you will visit Nahagar Fort, the fortified palaces of former maharajas.
 
The Trident Hotel, AgraDay 5 : Agra : The Trident Hotel
Drive to Bharatpur and take lunch in Laxmi Vilas Palace. This is followed by a cycle-rickshaw ride in the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. You will then drive to Agra and stay in the Trident Hotel.
 
The Taj Mahal, AgraDay 6 : Agra : Hotel/train
Take an early morning visit to the Taj Mahal. After breakfast you will visit Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah’s tomb. An afternoon visit to the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikiri and the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary will be followed by an overnight train journey on the Gondwana Express in a first class air-conditioned sleeper.
 
Kipling CampDay 7 : Kanha National Park : Kipling Camp
Upon arrival at Jabalpur station you will be met and driven (4 hours) to Kipling Camp, Kanha National Park. In the afternoon you will go on your first safari.
 
Tiger CloseDay 8 : Kanha National Park : Kipling Camp
Morning and afternoon safaris in the Park teeming with hundreds of species of animals and birds. Look and listen for the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger.
 
Kanha National ParkDay 9 : Kanha National Park : Kipling Camp
Morning and afternoon safaris in the Park. You can also ride down to the river on Tara the elephant and watch her daily bath.
 
 

 

 

 

 

Kawardha PalaceDay 10 : Kawardha : Palace Kawardha
Drive through the park and take a riverside picnic lunch by the river near Mukki Gate. You will then be met and driven to Palace Kawardha.
 
Kawardha PalaceDay 11 : Kawardha : Palace Kawardha
Stay in this beautiful, remote palace, situated on the edge of the former Kawardha State capital. Visit memories of the past, such as the family step-well, Bhoromdeo and the Monkey God Temple.
 
Kawardha VillageDay 12 : Kawardha : Palace Kawardha
Visit the town of Kawardha and the family temple. You will also see the former hunting lodge and Baiga Tribal village with an opportunity to witness the mesmerising Tribal dances of the local area.
 

The Red Fort, DelhiDay 13 : Delhi : The Claridges Hotel
Transfer to Raipur Airport where you will fly to Delhi and then be taken to The Claridges Hotel.

 

 
Day 14 : Delhi : The Claridges Hotel
A free day in Delhi, for shopping, sightseeing or relaxation.
 
Day 15 : Delhi
Transfer to the airport and depart.
